Khoras, an expansive and well thought out world in which magic is effected by the planet's two eclipsing suns. ![]()
Fargoth, a collaborative world building project. Lots of good information, including templates for kingdoms, races, spells, and so on. ![]()
Virtual Verduria, a world into which way too much time was placed. Includes several well worked out languages, as well as cultures, maps (all hand drawn), and art. Also check out the Language Costruction Kit associated with this site. ![]()
Worlds in the Net, a list of world building and roleplaying sites available on the net. Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Horror settings are all included. Unfortunately, some of the worlds listed here no longer exist.

Langmaker.com, a catalog of model languages, scripts, and resources. Includes an excellent Windows based tool for generating the vocabulary for a fictional language, either from scratch or by applying sound changes to an existing set of words. You can even create a vocabulary from scratch, then apply sound changes to create modern and archaic versions of a fiction tongue. ![]()
